The Voice of One Crying Out was originally written as the middle movement of Monterey Letters for unaccompanied trumpet.  Due to requests for this piece to be written for various brass instruments, I have created this middle movement, The Voice of One Crying Out, for each instrument as a separate lyrical solo.   Horn players, I set this piece on two different pitches depending on whether or not you want  to play in the low register.  The version set on C goes down to G2 in bass clef.
